Virginia Fire Department Prepares to Honor Fallen Paramedic

Weissman was killed when he fell from an interstate overpass.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WJLA) - The Alexandria Fire Department will go out of service for 48 hours to honor a paramedic killed last week in the line of duty. From Wednesday night through Friday night, the 265 members of the fire department will be out of service while visitation and funeral services are held for Joshua Weissman. The 33-year-old paramedic from Bristow died when he fell off an overpass on Interstate 395 responding to a call.
